“Then the Lord said to Joshua, ‘See, I have delivered Jericho into
your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. March around the
city once with all your armed men. Do this for six days.’” (Joshua
6:2-3)
Let's be honest, we struggle with trusting. We all come up short at times when we rely on others. I think it's nice on paper to say we trust always, but in reality, we don't. Something happens in the transition from childhood to adulthood where we stop letting go and trusting, and start clinging on to worry. It weighs us down and keeps us from progression. As children, we trust our parents, even if it seems silly because we know nothing else. Wouldn't it be profoud if we all trusted as toddlers, naive in our understanding, but curious and excited about the next step instead of worrisome-filled?
Phillip Phillips, Home
Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
